My son loved the lessons provided by Dutch for Children.
He greatly enjoyed working with juf Anja, from whom he learned many new things. Also, juf Anja managed to keep him engaged and motivated by using various materials and methods, including the interaction with her cute hand puppet, Pien.

I would gladly recommend her and Dutch for Children to anyone whose child needs to improve his knowledge of Dutch!

Our four year old son Pieter absolutely loved the lessons provided by Dutch for children. Juf Anja van der Zee-Bennis is so engaging, with her hand puppet Pien, her funny Dutch children’s books and her exciting experiments with the aquarium. What will float and what will sink? Pieter really enjoyed his lessons and it significantly helped to improve his Dutch. We highly recommend Dutch for Children

We were worried our son might not want to sit still for an online class, but the teacher was so engaging. He now recognizes Dutch words and enjoys showing off what he’s learned.

Our 5-year-old absolutely loves the lessons! The teacher uses songs, games, and puppets to make learning Dutch enjoyable. It’s the highlight of her week!

We are extremely grateful to have had Wendy’s help with our 10 year old daughter’s extra lessons. Her teaching style really engages the child and gets them pumped up and excited about learning.

Wendy tutored my son after we just moved to the Netherlands. She helped him immensely to improve his confidence with speaking Dutch and really helped bring him on with reading and writing in Dutch. Wendy has a great rapport with the kids, and uses their interests to motivate them in their learning; my son always looked forward to his lessons with Wendy. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Wendy to give your child extra support, whether that be with language or maths.

My boys have been having lessons with Wendy for the past 6 months in order to help them with the transition of going from the IB system into the Dutch system.
Wendy has a fantastic way to keep the lessons interesting and she manages to engage them for an hour each over Skype. She is using various methods to bring the message across and builds the lessons around the interests of the kids.
If you are looking for support for your kids to get their levels up in their Dutch, I would happily recommend DfC.

Before coming to Curacao our son had been having Dutch classes via Skype for several months with Wendy, he was always very motivated and looking forward to having his Dutch lessons. After arriving in Curacao he started having his personal classes with Wendy which he always has enjoyed. She keeps him interested always trying to use his own interest in the classes.

My wife and I are very happy with the outcome of these classes and would surely recommend DfC if you are looking to support your kids in the Dutch language.

We have been really happy with the lessons and Lindsey is a fantastic teacher. She is very good at keeping Baxter engaged, and they have a lovely rapport.

I met with Axel’s school teacher today and after a long discussion, we have decided to no longer continue with Dutch lessons. This is in no way a reflection of the Dutch for Children; in fact quite the opposite.
Exclusively in Dutch
The teacher reported to me that Axel now speaks exclusively in Dutch at school, and has done so for the last two months. Lessons with Mirjam have given Axel the confidence to start speaking Dutch. The work Mirjam has put into the sessions to keep Axel engaged, too, has been really very brilliant.
Integration
In the discussion today, we thought about how hard Axel has tried to integrate into a new school (and country) and learn a new language. The fact that he has been able to sit with Mirjam online and learn has exceeded our expectations, and because of this, we want to give him a break.We also agreed that further down the line, if he required support with his Dutch, as academic demands increase, then we will likely be back in touch with Dutch for Children. So overall, school is very happy with how he is doing, and this is a call to respond to that. And, of course, a big thank you to Mirjam for all her hard work.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for all your effort and kindness towards Gahan.
Your classes have been instrumental in his growth and development, and we are truly grateful for everything you have done for him.
I particularly appreciate how you have helped Gahan become more confident in the Dutch language. He is surely a different person after your classes.

My son (6 years old) needed support in starting Dutch, since we had moved to the Netherlands. Merel, his teacher, was extremely patient, and planned lessons according to his interest.
What I liked most was that given Dutch was a totally new language for him, she wanted my son to first have a positive association and attidue towards Dutch. This was a great tactic because that led him to take more interest in using Dutch words.
Therefore, anyone who wants to introduce Dutch as expats to their children will highly benefit from these online classes with Dutch For Children.

We have seen immense growth in the girls since we started the online Dutch lessons. Both were needing some additional time on building vocabulary and reading skills which they have made great strides in.

When Max, a 14-year-old from South Africa, began taking online Dutch lessons with Dutch for Children, he prepared for a big move to the Netherlands. Although he had little prior knowledge of Dutch, he worked hard with his teacher through engaging, tailored lessons.

I would like to take this moment to express my heartfelt thanks for the excellent classes provided by Mirjam.
Now, after 18 classes in total, I can say my daughter was always eager, enthusiastic and energetic right after her school day, looking forward to Mirjam’s class.
She is a bit sad now that those classes are finished.

Torin’s lessons have been really good for him and he’s very much enjoyed Chantal’s teaching! So really a big thank you for providing him a good space to practice.

Liza had an absolutely positive experience with Dutch for Children. Marieke is a great teacher. Liza loved the lessons and said that they helped her a lot. Now she is not so nervous about going to a secondary school in the Netherlands. She knows what to expect. It was the right decision to take the lessons. I like that we talk about real-life topics. It’s not just grammar but also useful for life in the Netherlands.
